Terry McAuliffe and Ken Cuccinelli are both horrible people and awful candidates. They’re corrupt opportunists, and I don’t get the feeling either one has a plan other than to grab power for their own selfish ends.
It’s even impossible to choose the lesser of the two evils here. Major state newspapers like The Roanoke Times, the Richmond Times-Dispatch and The News & Advance of Lynchburg have declined to endorse a candidate because they’re both so terrible.
My hometown paper, The Free Lance-Star of Fredericksburg, finally endorsed McAuliffe and their statement was perfect. “It has come to this: Vote for Terry McAuliffe because he will do less harm.”
Seriously? Our political candidates are so bad now we’re just choosing the one who will fuck up things the least?
It doesn’t have to be like this. We can still write in a candidate, and we could draft anyone we wanted.
How about Bryan Cranston? I think we all agree Breaking Bad was awesome, and if you’re like me you still haven’t come to grips with that show going off the air.
Plus, Cranston seems like a pretty good guy, and unlike these other two tools, I’m guessing he would work well with others and make decisions that aren’t driven solely by the voices screaming in his head.
Doesn’t this make more sense than choosing one of these pricks?
