Microsoft recently patented an “avoid ghetto” app for your GPS that’s intended to help motorists avoid him-crime areas. Some critics have referred to this as racist because the app seems to steer people around predominantly black neighborhoods.

One of these critics was Sarah Chinn, and she is known for writing one of the most pointless books ever penned in the English language, Technology and the Logic of American Racism. Ms. Chinn complains that the new app only focuses on certain types of violent crimes, and violations like white-collar crimes and domestic assaults weren’t considered.

Gee whiz, I wonder why Microsoft only focused on those types of crimes that pose an actual threat and didn’t consider unrelated violations to please some dipshit liberal arts professor.

I will agree that Microsoft is probably going too far with their new pedestrian “Negro Detector.” You’re supposed to clip the device on your shoulder, and it scans the area for any dark-skinned people. The problem is that once detection is made, it’s already too late to do anything about it. It’s not like you’re going to win a foot-race to get away.
